Social Responsibility in Smoke-Free Air Policy

This articles aims to identify the social responsibility of local government and business actor in the implementation of smoke-free air policy in Surakarta City. The research employed a literature review methods. The dimensions of Social Responsibility are identified from several references and the criteria developed by The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Global Impact of the United Nation , and ISO 26000. The results of the research conclude that there are interrelated political and economic interests between the city government and cigarette companies which cause the fulfillment of children’s rights to smoke-free areas to be not prioritized.
