Generation Z's preference for environmental animation films: Case Study of generation Z in Surakarta City

Many new media are presented to increase public awareness of the importance of understanding green issues. Animation as a communication medium has the ability to reveal many hidden and invisible things that other mass communication media cannot do. This research focuses on Generation Z who enjoys some form of environmental animation as a new communication medium on the YouTube platform. This study uses the convenience sampling method to determine the effectiveness of messages about green issues conveyed by environmental animation shows to generation Z. In this research, it will be known that environmental animation on the YouTube platform is able to become an alternative media to attract generation Z to understand green issues.
